OUR STORY

In 2005, the founder of D3 Innovations LLC saw an opportunity to transform the security industry by applying biometrics in ways that would benefit the financial industry and the broad field of government agencies. The goal was to create innovative and high quality devices that will be utilized and applied to a diverse market. Strategy, knowledge, structure, and design go into everything built by the D3 Innovations team.

Dewitt T. Wood Jr.

  • 58 years old

  • Enjoys inventing things in his spare time and drawing

  • Visionary who wants to take biometrics into the future by using unconventional methods

  • Involved in the biometrics field since 2005

  • Inventor of all of D3's biometric inventions

  • Graduated from Montgomery College with a degree in architectural design and mechanical drawing

  • Transferred to Maryland Drafting Institute for architectural design

  • Used his experiences to hone his creative side and design all of D3's biometric inventions

  • Studied all different forms of biometrics, including fingerprints, irises, facial recognition, voice recognition, tattoo mapping, and crowd scanning

  • D3 Innovations plans to introduce innovative methods and ideas to create biometric products for government organizations and the financial industry

Jerry Adams

  • Vice President of D3 Innovations LLC

  • 16 years of experience in law enforcement, including 15 years as an officer with the City of Rockville Police Department

  • Trained to use Maryland's Network Live Scan (NLS) biometric device to scan individuals fingerprints

  • Familiar with how biometrics works and how it is used

  • Involved in the biometric field since early 2007

Jerry Adams has a deep understanding of biometrics and its applications. He has been using biometrics for over 15 years, and he is familiar with a variety of biometric technologies, including fingerprints, facial recognition, and iris scanning. Jerry is also an expert in the use of biometrics for security and authentication. He has helped to design the device that D3 Innovations makes.

Jerry is passionate about the use of biometrics to improve security and efficiency. He believes that biometrics can play a major role in protecting people and property, and he is committed to helping organizations use biometrics to their fullest potential.

In his spare time, Jerry enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and hiking. He is also an avid reader and enjoys learning about new technologies.

Lyn R. Williams,

Head of marketing and business development for D3 Innovations LLC, and he is president and founder of Bridge Enterprises, Inc., a Business and Community Development Company was formed in 1984 to “bridge the economic gap” between the Minority Business, Federal, State & Local Governments. Before forming his own company, Lyn Williams demonstrated a strong interest in politics. He worked as a deputy clerk in the Senate of Virginia General Assembly for several years then became minority liaison to U.S Senators Paul Trible and John Warner from Virginia. Lyn most accomplished legislative achievement on Capitol Hill was the passage of Public Law (99661---Section 1207) that set-aside five percent (5%) of the Department of Defense procurement for minority contractors. The law generated over ($70 billion) from 1987 to 1997 for Minority Business and Historical Black Colleges & Universities.

 

Bridge Enterprises launched its’ telecommunications division by being selected as a protégé to EDS Corporation under the Department of Defense Mentor-Protégé Program. This program allowed the development of “Proxtel Suites”, and video conference technology at the desktop that is currently used worldwide today.

 

 

National Awards and Recognition include:

• 1983---Advisor to Governor Charles Robb / Commerce & Trade towards the creation of The Department of Minority Business Enterprises.

• 1986 & 1990---Co-Chair on The National White House Conference on Small Business from Virginia.

• 1996---Facilitator & Advisor to Governor George Allen towards Virginia 2nd Trade Mission to South Africa.

• 2002---Successful completion and graduation from The Small Business Administration (8A) Program & The Department of Defense / EDS Mentor-Protégé Program.

• 2005---Top Technology Entrepreneur of the Year by US Blacks in Engineering and Technology.

• 2008---Founder of the “National Technical Assistance Conference” sponsored by the White House Initiative on Historical Black Colleges & Universities.

• Established funding for The Department of Defense Data Conversion Lab at Hampton University.

• Established funding for The Department of Defense Battlefield Sensor Lab at Norfolk State University.

• Established funding for The Department of Prosthetics Lab at Norfolk State University.

• Designed & Build a Video Conferencing Lab at Bowie State University in partnership with EDS/HP Corporation.

• Appointed to the Commerce & Trade transition team for Governor’s Wilder & Allen.
